Learning a foreign language broadens children’s horizons and builds cultural understanding.
In Key Stage 2, teaching balances speaking, listening, reading and writing, helping pupils to understand and respond to Spanish, speak with growing confidence and accurate pronunciation, and write for different purposes using taught grammar and vocabulary.
Our Spanish curriculum focuses on making sustained progress in one language and lays strong foundations for language learning at secondary school.
