Overview

Our art curriculum follows the National Curriculum for primary schools which aims to inspire creativity and equip pupils with the skills to express themselves confidently.

Children learn to use a range of materials and techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media while exploring the work of great artists, craft makers and designers.

Through progressive lessons pupils develop their understanding of colour, texture, form and pattern and learn to evaluate and refine their own work.

Our goal is to nurture imagination, cultural awareness and artistic confidence so that every child can enjoy creating and appreciating art as part of a broad and balanced education.
